NetHunt CRM Releases MCP Support to Connect AI Tools with Live CRM Data
Instead of searching your CRM manually, just ask AI
NetHunt CRM announced support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing users to connect AI tools — including ChatGPT, Claude, and other MCP-compatible services — directly to their CRM data and interact with it through natural language.
With MCP connected to NetHunt CRM, sales teams can find deals and contacts, pull up customer interaction history, and update records without touching the CRM interface at all. There's no switching between tabs, no manual digging through pipelines — just a question asked and an answer returned.
Setup requires no coding or developer involvement, making it accessible to any team regardless of technical capacity.
Beyond built-in AI features
Some CRM vendors are adding AI features of their own. The limitation is that those features are defined — and constrained — by what the vendor chose to build. MCP works differently.
Rather than locking users into a fixed set of AI capabilities, MCP gives any compatible AI tool direct, secure access to live CRM data. That means users aren't waiting for their CRM provider to ship a feature — they're already working with the most capable AI models available, applied to their own data, on their own terms.
The practical advantages are significant:
- No ceiling on functionality. Users define the query; AI finds the data and performs the action — not the other way around.
- Cross-source analysis. AI assistants connected via MCP can draw on CRM data, email, and documents simultaneously, surfacing insights that would take hours to compile manually.
- Always on the latest model. When a more powerful version of ChatGPT, Claude, or another tool is released, teams can put it to work on their sales data immediately — no waiting for a CRM update.
- Full transparency. Users can see exactly which data the AI used to produce an answer, which matters when decisions depend on it.
What it looks like in practice
Once connected, users can work with folders, records, and activity timelines in NetHunt CRM through natural language. That includes:
- Summarizing a company's full interaction history before a call
- Identifying deals that have gone quiet, with context on why
- Creating or updating records and assigning tasks — all from a single prompt
- Analyzing which campaigns drove the most qualified pipeline last month
The queries can be as straightforward or as specific as the situation calls for:
- Show me all deals with no activity in the past two weeks.
- Summarize the latest agreements and objections from our work with this company.
- Which deals are most at risk of being lost right now, and what's the signal?
- Which marketing campaigns brought the most qualified deals last week, and how far have they moved through the pipeline?
What changes isn't just speed — it's what becomes visible. Reviewing the full history of a complex deal used to mean opening emails, scrolling through call logs, and checking status changes one by one. AI does all of that in seconds, and surfaces patterns a person would likely miss.
"Before MCP, AI could only advise based on what you told it. Now it works directly with live CRM data and builds answers from real facts. No manager can hold hundreds of deals in their head at once — but AI can, and it analyzes them faster than any person."
